Match Report Wednesday 6th September

Sherborne Town 0 - 4 Welton Rovers

Toolstation Western League First Division

Sherborne Town manager Wayne Jerome added a couple of new members to his squad following saturday's arrivals of Berty and Cainsy. Back came Sam Jarman and Haydn Brown who both took their place on the bench.

Welton took the lead with only 10 seconds on the clock after a mix up in the sherborne defence. One very quickly became two as the away side struck again in the 8th minute when a soft free kick somehow went through a host of players before finding the back of the net. Welton's third goal came on 22 minutes when the Welton striker tapped in from close range despite being in an offside position. The forth goal came in the 57th minute. Sherborne kept pushing on and trying to take some positives out of the game and they got there reward when a penalty was given. New signing Lewis Morgan unfortunately saw his penalty saved. Despite the defeat some of the new players got some more minutes under their belts to get match fit.

Final result 0-4.
