Match Report

Heath started the season with a tough away fixture at Sherborne and returned with a well deserved point, it really could have been more but for a couple of good saves and some good defending from the home side.
This new look Heath side made a decent start and we're looking much brighter than their hosts, this almost resulted in the first goal on 22 minutes when Huxley fed jack Rhys Jones who was only stopped by a great defensive block.
The game then settled with both teams finding the heat a big factor which tended to slow the game down.
Sherborne had a good cross headed over on 40 minutes but that was about it for the first half.
Two minutes into the second half Heath were awarded a penalty, Matt Huxley stepped up only to see his effort saved by the keepers trailing leg.
At that stage I think most people in the ground would agree that if that went in it would have probably won the game.
The rest of the second half saw Heath slightly the better of the two sides but in all fairness there was not a great deal to choose between the two.
On reflection before the game we would have probably settled for a point, but after the game it feels a little like two points dropped.
