Match Report

Sherborne Town Reserves were on the wrong end of 1-0 scoreline against visitors, Parley Sports.

Sherborne Town Reserves line up saw manager, Dave Gudge pull on the black and white shirt for the first half and the return of Glenn Nathan 'Sherby.' 

Sherborne Town Reserves' first major effort came after 20 minutes when a quickly taken free-kick lead to an effort which went wide of the goal.

After 28 minutes, the visitors were denied when an effort was cleared off the line and a minute later, Sherborne Town Reserves keeper, Scott Sparks made a great save to keep the score goaless.

On 33 minutes, another clearance of the line was needed to prevent Parley Sports from going in front.

The visitors had one last chance before the half time interval, which went wide.

Seven minutes into the restart, and the first and only goal of the game was scored. A long ball forward found Parley Sports' number 9 who did well to score from the edge of the area.

Sherborne Town Reserves' reaction was to apply pressure and made many half chances.

After 65 minutes, Parley Sports were denied the chance to double their advantage when another clearance was made on the goaline. Two minutes later, keeper Scott Sparks was called into action to make another good save.

Sherborne Town Reserves pushed for a late equalizer but time ran out, and Parley Sports held onto a 1-0 win.
